This is a 3 months full time intensive course for individuals with typically previous experience as manager for a
small business, or middle manager at large company or an owner of a small to medium size business.
The course will run both locally in Africa as well as include training in Europe, with some weeks spent on-site
commercial environments.
The curriculum will include the following subjects (amongst others):
- Developing a realistic business plan for sustainable growth
- Secure financing and implement budgetary controls
- Exploit global initiatives such as Free Trade Labelling Organisation
- Explore global growth markets for local produce and skill (e.g. ethanol, ecological food, low cost services)
- Exploit the internet and mobile communications for finding new markets
- Find and negotiate regional representations
- Develop language and cross cultural knowledge
- Develop product branding & marketing
- Customer and partner relationship management
- Team development and management
- Sales & negotiation skills
- Relationship building
