This is a 3 months full time intensive course for individuals with typically previous experience as manager for a small business, or middle manager at large company or an owner of a small to medium size business.

The course will run both locally in Africa as well as include training in Europe, with some weeks spent on-site commercial environments.
The curriculum will include the following subjects (amongst others):

  • Developing a realistic business plan for sustainable growth
  • Secure financing and implement budgetary controls
  • Exploit global initiatives such as Free Trade Labelling Organisation
  • Explore global growth markets for local produce and skill (e.g. ethanol, ecological food, low cost services)
  • Exploit the internet and mobile communications for finding new markets
  • Find and negotiate regional representations
  • Develop language and cross cultural knowledge
  • Develop product branding & marketing
  • Customer and partner relationship management
  • Team development and management
  • Sales & negotiation skills
  • Relationship building
