Social Media Engagement:
- Fans and followers are special, treat them as if they are. - Participate in the conversation, which you may have started yourself or started by a fan. - Never leave a follower or a fan "hanging", always respond to comments, questions and requests. - Negative comments - never delete, deal with the situation and close the convo in the public timeline and if you need to, continue the convo in email or via a meeting. - Keep your finger on the button. Make sure that you have alerts on your mobile that would signal as soon as there is activity in your social media accounts. - Respond timeously. What is "timeously"? Immediately is great, if not, I would say within 24 hours. - Continue listening - your timeline (TL) is filled with information that you can USE - DO NOT disappear for days - you break momentum and disappoint your followers or fans expectations of receiving great content on a daily basis - Be consistent!
